Our English corner was on October 13th. Children of grade 5 attended the activity. Our English teacher Daniel is very responsible. He made full preparations for the English corner. He prepared a PPT about superheroes as he knew that the children were interested in this topic.
He introduced the concept of super powers and how every superhero has unique talents. For example, Spiderman has “Spidey sense”. He can shoot webs and stick to walls. Superman can fly, has super strength and can shoot laser beams from his eyes. Wolverine has knives in his hands, can heal himself quickly and has super strength. Daniel also discussed some other superheroes such as Batman, The Hulk and Captain America.
He used body language and gestures to explain some of the more difficult words. He also chatted to the children about villains; these are the opposite of superheroes. Daniel then listed a wide variety of different super powers such as super strength, flight and super speed. He then asked the children, “If you were a superhero, what three powers would you choose to have and why? The students really enjoyed expressing themselves and discussing their choices with Daniel and the other students.
